The story of my friend
As a young historian, I can say people wear necklaces for thousands of years. We can find necklaces throughout whole history. However, I never thought a necklace can change my life.
It was 5 years ago, I had got the first chance in my career to give speech in an international conference. I took the trip with Kathy, a pretty girl, one of my teammates. The speech was so successful that I was keeping exciting . On the last day, when we were on the way to the airport, I still talked about my speech.
Finally, Kathy said: “Oh, my boy, of course it is my pleasures to be your teammate and share your success, however, listen to me carefully, after three days of listening your brilliant speech, formal or informal, please do me a favor, OK?”
“What? I am sorry, I can shut up.”
“No, No, I understand, a shy boy finally can talk in front people, I know it. Now the only thing you need to do is to company me to go somewhere, you know, I had never been here. And you can keep talking and I can do something girls like. We still have 3 hours.”
I did not know why I always enjoy any attitudes from Kathy. Moreover, I realized it was the first time we are together in a strange city, just two of us.
